Bike rides are a great way to burn some energy and get out of the house. Where we live, we are lucky to be within riding distance of a very nice park. The route there is a mix of bike path, sidewalk, and road. Now that the oldest two are road-worthy on their two-wheelers, we planed a 3-ish mile bike ride to and from a local park. The plan was for the two youngest to ride in the Burley, pulled by Sam-the-stud. And then we'd enjoy some outdoor play and a picnic lunch. Even the best laid plan goes awry occasionally... To set the story, I have an old bike. I'm 37, and this has been my bike since I was at least 14 years-old. It's a mountain bike. To be fair, Sam has an even older road bike he acquired in 2008, originally new in 1986! For whatever reason, though, it's held up much better than mine.
